ITINERARY
Day 01: Welcome to Peru !!!
Upon your arrival at the Jorge
Chávez International Airport you will be transferred to your hotel
in Lima. Day 02: TOUR FROM THE
CITY OF THE KINGS
Pick up for your visit to the
Historic Center of Lima, Plaza de Armas, Bishop´s palace,
Municipality of Lima, Temple of San Francisco, San Francisco
Convent and the most traditional residential areas of Lima among
which we have: San Isidro, Olivar, and Larco Mar, including the
famous “park of love” where we will have a spectacular view of
the Pacific Ocean. Tour length: 04 hours.
Day 03: CUSCO
On your arrival our
representative will take you to your hotel to enjoy a cup of the
famous “mate de coca” (infusion based on coca leaves), remember
Cusco is at 12500 feet and because of that we suggest you to
take this afternoon to relax and get acclimatized properly,
Overnight at hotel in Cusco.
Day 04: SACRED VALLEY
Visit the green and fertile
Sacred Valley of the Incas aligned by imposing mountains on its
way you can visit the famous Pisac market and then head to
Urubamba where you can enjoy a traditional picnic lunch. In the
afternoon we invite you to visit the great Inca fortress of
Ollantaytambo, where the Incas led by Manco Inca defeated the
Spanish for the first time, you will remain here because you
have to take your train to Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu from
the Ollanta train station. Reception and transfer to your hotel
in Aguas Calientes, your guide will proceed to give an
explanation of the timing and form of the development of the
tour the next day.
Day 05: MACHUPICCHU
Early in the morning, after
taking a 25 minutes bus ride we get to the great Inca city:
Machu Picchu, one of the new 07 Wonders of the World. We will
give a tour by the inkan streets and show you interesting places
like the Temple of the Sun, the shrine of the Pachamama,
Quarries, the Solar Clock or Intihuatana, among others amazing
places, after the tour you will have your own time to enjoy
Machu Picchu. In the afternoon you will have a train ride back
to Ollantaytambo and from the train station we will transport
you on a private car back to the Hotel. Overnight at hotel in
Cusco.
Day 06: CUSCO
In the afternoon we invite
you get acquainted with the capital of the Inkas: Cusco, we
begin our tour with a visit to the Temple of the Sun Qoricancha,
then we will see the Cathedral of Cusco, enjoy the more than 300
paintings done by the local indians, after this tour we take you
to visit the imposing temple of Sacsayhuaman and its nearby
ruins Kenko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 07: MARAS MORAY, INKA
SALT MINES AND INKA GREEN HOUSE
We pick you up at around
08.30 a.m. and we meet the group for the tour, we head to the
town of Maras, from there you can appreciate the Vilcanota
Mountain range and snowcapped peaks, along the streets of Maras
town enjoy the outstanding coat of arms from the nobles and
chiefs from the XVII and XVIII centuries. Our first official
stop will be at MORAY, about seven kilometers southwest of Maras
town; this is a unique archaeological site in the region, It has
enormous terraces that overlap concentrically in a huge hole
creating a prototype of a greenhouse, We continue to the Salt
mines of MARAS, the only open salt mine in Peru, where salt is
extracted from the more than 4000 small pools. Return to Cusco.
Transfer to your hotel.
Day 08: CUSCO-PUNO
7:00 a.m. Transfer in the
morning to the bus station for travel by bus on the route Manco
Capac.
07:30 a.m. We head to Andahuaylillas to visit the the Sistine
Chapel of the Andes in Andahuaylillas, then visit the Inka
temple in Raqchi for the most important Inka deity: Wiracocha,
we stop in Sichuan for a buffet lunch and after that we continue
to LA RAYA (the line) border between Cusco and Puno it is also
the highest point at 14300 feet, finally once in the Puno region
we visit in Pukara town the museum dedicated to the Pukaras
pre-inka culture, mother of the southern societies. Upon arrival
to Puno, transfer to your hotel.
Arrival to Puno city: 04:45 p.m. aprox.
Day 09: UROS-TAQUILE
7:10 a.m. Transfer to the
Puno´s dock by “taxicholo”.
07:30 a.m. Board the boat to sail to the “Uros” floating islands
and get to experience the ancient way of living of the Uro
Indians, continue sailing on the Lake Titikaka to Taquile
Island, declared by Unesco as a world heritage site because of
its textiles with a amazing finesse and quality, lunch at local
restaurant, afternoon return to Puno.
Return to Puno at about 5:00 p.m.
Day 10: PUNO - SILLUSTANI
Morning at leisure to explore
Puno, the folkloric capital of Peru. Transfer to Juliaca
airport, on the way visit the pre-inca cemetery at Sillustani.
Enjoy the breathtaking view of Lake Umayo and funerary towers
called Chullpas.
Flight to Lima.
Day 11: CUSCO - LIMA
Transfer to the Jorge Chavez
International Airport for your flight back to Thuis . Thank you
very much for visiting Peru!
