ITINERARY
Day 01 CUSCO
08.30 a.m. We meet at our
headquarter, at Avenida Pardo 885, we head to Ollantaytambo enjoying
the beautiful scenery of the area, we will stop at the town for
about 30 min., from here continue the trip by a winding road to the
Malaga overpass located at a height of 4316 meters (14150 feet) from
where we get to see the most amazing landscapes of the Peruvian
Geografia. After a brief stop we will begin the descent into the
jungle through the different altitudes combined with idyllic
landscapes going from majestic snow capped mountains to the warm
sub-tropical forest or jungle, until Alfamayo town we find a
completely paved road on perfect condition, but from here on the
off-road begins, where we will continue towards the town of Santa
Maria located at an altitude of 1575 (5165 feet), we continue after
a brief stop to the village of Santa Teresa.
2:00 p.m. approximate arrival to Santa Teresa where a delicious
lunch with a great variety of food will be awaiting us.
3:45 p.m. Finally we take the road towards the railway station in
Machu Picchu hydroelectric, towards Aguas Calientes town.
5:30 p.m. We arrive to Aguas Calientes and we allocate you in your
hotel, after this procedure you will have free time that you use to
visit the thermal baths at the local hot spring.
8:00 p.m. Enjoy a delicious dinner and and also receive a briefing
given by the guide who will be responsible for the tour to the
citadel of Machupicchu. Overnight at chosen hotel.
Day 02: Machu Picchu
Breakfast will
be served from 5:00 am up to 06.00, after it you will have the
chance to choose to go to Machu Picchu by bus or by foot, the
tour may begin around 6:40 am and will last at least 2 hours,
then enjoy your free time until 11:30 am approximately.
11:30 am, We recommend you to return to Aguas Calientes and
board the train back to the hydroelectric plant, train departs
from Aguas Calientes at 12:35 pm, once at the hydro plant we
will transfer you to the van to continue your return to Santa
Teresa, where you will be given about 01 hour to get to eat
something and use the facilities, then return to Cusco where we
expect to get around 09.30 p.m.
